Why ends of fuel carrying tank is in cylindrical shape?

Since cylindrical shape has only two edges and no corner while in cuboid number of edges are 12 and corner is 8

Note: stress is expected to concentrate at corners and edges
More number of corners and edges increases the risk of rupture
