Honda Cb twister review july 2010

Firstly let me tell you something about me i am 22yr old 5.11 height and weight around 70kg.Purpose for buying bike was
to reach my office which is almost 42km from my home in bit hilly area.
It is almost 3 days i bought Cb Twister Black colour .it is end of july.
Twister costed me 47298 in Chandigarh in cash.

details given below
Basic price 40976.10 +tax 12.5(5122) =46098
Rs1100 for insurance
Rs 100 for temporary number,,Two number plates
accessories(mirrors,seat cover,leg guard,Grip cover)

it is second model that is self other two models available were kick start and disc self.
I really didn't feel need of disc brake for such a light bike and don't even suggest.
Gears are one down others up.It has 4 gear. Shifting is smooth

Plus points :
Sexiest Bike in this category even pulsar 135 looks are not worth comparing according to me.
Giving me milege of around 60km/l with my worst driving ,single user i mean no person on pinion seat
Pick up is awesome(my basic requirment) -50km in less than 4 sec (road condition was good)
powerfull bike with 9 bhp in 100 cc segment
Silent engine
seems like it do not like much care and maintenance in short words tension free bike
Great comfort in long driving
six spoke alloy wheel looks awesome
If there is a thin file you are carring then you can place it inbetween tank and plastic floater adjoining them
paint is only upto mark can't say that excellent quality
Choke and reserve is below the tank
can be started in gear unlike shine

Negative points :
Rear seat is bit high a problem for ladies
Rear tyre is thin so you will not be confidence in applying the brakes in rainy areas and while in high speed
While shifting gears down it gives weird sound
vibrations after reaching 65kmph


What i miss :-
Digital speedometer ,tachometer
Low oil and low battery indicator
Choke on handle instead of below tank
bigger tank
Mono suspension
bit thicker rear tyre
some better place for helmet

What i dislike the most : -
bit costelier in 100c segment but its ok if its honda as it must be relible product

Mistakes i did :-
i am novice in biking. i put reserve to 'off' so it sets off the bike after 1/2 - 1 km.Later frnd told me to put it back to on.
as i had just filled the tank with around 4 litre Thats y i put it back to off
Reserve is to be put on off if you are not going to use the bike for some days like you are going out of station or your posting
is changed etc.


Note: people says there is a space below seat and it is the first bike to have such feature.
Let me tell you this space is left for air intake for filter and something stucks there Bike can stop or
can give poor performance and milege I guess even unicon also have this space in it

Other option available are
Honda shine - Looks are simple and sober 125CC and price is almost same as twister
Bajaj pulsar 135 - Noisy engine if you like roaring you may like it bit costlier and doesn't give as much
comfort as shine and twister gives
Honda Passion pro - simple bike not for youngsters, not as much powerfull as above stated,meant specially for city driving

tips for better milege :-
1. Ride below 45kmph intially till first service Afterwards upto 50kmph till second service then at max 55kmph
2.Single drive without pinion
3.change the gears wisely.It means do not ride at higher speed in low gears nor in low speed in high gears.
4.30-30 air pressure for single person if two 35-40 for double rider
5.Get ur bike service at assigned time.
6.use only honda specified oil.
7.Get ur bike chain greased after every 2 months.
